Bad breath is a very common problem in cats and dogs. However, oral health care is often avoided. It is a very important component of our pets’ health as many organs in the body may become affected by ongoing periodontal disease. A good sound oral health program will provide comfort and longevity to your pet’s life as well as make them more pleasant to be around. Dogs and cats both need routine dental care. We would like to help you keep your pets’ mouths healthy by providing information on home dental care and by giving you options on how to achieve the best results.

Rocky Rapids Vet Service is dedicated to providing the following comprehensive dental services:

  • Oral/dental exams during the wellness exam.
  • Monitored general anesthesia through our knowledgeable, well-trained technologists, aided by digital monitoring for vital signs.
  • All anesthetic patients have a technologist (nurse) with them at all times.
  • Comprehensive dental cleaning, and polishing.
  • Minor oral surgery including, but not limited to, tooth extraction and removal of minor oral tumors.
  • Comprehensive pain management before, during, and after any painful oral procedure.
  • Administration of local anesthesia for all surgical tooth extractions.
  • Home dental care instructions and product recommendations.
  • A referral network of veterinary dentists and specialists are readily available when needed.
