Safety Protocols

We continue to work to ensure the safety of our clients, our patients, and our team by adhering to the following:

  • Upon arrival, you may either call us or come in with your pet to check in for your appointment, unless specific instructions have been provided to you for alternate arrival arrangements.
  • Should you wish, please feel free to mask, however, at this time we do not mandate masking within the clinic
  • If you would prefer curb-side service, we can accommodate that for any patient
  • It is requested that the number of humans coming in with the patient is limited, if possible, to ensure that we can adequately maintain physical distancing within the confines of the exam rooms. Alternate arrangements can be made if this is not possible. Please ask when you make your appointment.

If you are feeling unwell prior to your scheduled appointment, please call 780-542-2144 with as much notice as possible to reschedule.

Important News for Our Clients

Updated August 2022

If calling into the clinic to request a new prescription or refill, please allow for 24 hours from the time of the call to pick up. If your pet is not a current patient at our clinic, an official prescription will be required from your usual prescribing clinic. Please have it emailed to [email protected] and allow a minimum of 24 hours from the time the email is received for the prescription to be ready.

Beginning October 1, 2022, there will be a $75.00 charge for no-shows. We respect your time and appreciate your business, thus want to be sure that we are available for our clients for all their needs, including urgent requests. Details of how this fee will be billed to you will be available on our website soon.

Beginning September 1, 2022, our Emergency/After Hours Calls will be professionally triaged by Animal Health Link. You will be immediately connected to a qualified Registered Veterinary Technician who will assess the best treatment approach to your large or small animal’s condition. Because of this exciting development of better service for our clients and patients, the After Hours Fee structure will be updated. There will be a $45.00 charge for all calls made outside of clinic hours. If emergency care by a Veterinarian is required, this charge will be applied as a credit to the additional costs of the emergency services provided.

Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our progressive, mixed animal practice in Drayton Valley!

Rocky Rapids Veterinary Services (RRVS) by Mosaic Veterinary Partners (MVP) wants to add another exceptional member to our team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an average workweek of 40 hours. Some availability to work on a Saturday may be required.

The Job:

Our RVTs must display a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to animal care while possessing strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Our employees are passionate and show great compassion for animals and their owners, and understand the stress that patients and clients are under. As we are a mixed animal practice, RVTs must be comfortable working around multiple species of animals. Our RVT’s daily duties comprise of the following, but they are not limited to these duties: nursing care, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging and testing, client education and interaction, including admissions and discharges, filling prescriptions, and attending farm calls with DVM’s as needed.

The Environment:

RVTs can expect to spend nearly all of their workdays on their feet assisting DVMs and clients and be able to lift pets and objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Days can get busy and crazy, so our RVTs must be prepared to work in a busy, fast-paced environment!

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited two-year veterinary technology program; registered or eligible for registration with ABTVA/ABVMA. Competence in the English language, patience, and a pleasant manner are absolute musts. New graduates are welcome to apply!
